Ngera coffee processes coffee cherries produced by small-scale farmers living in five hills: Ngera in Nyaruguru District, where the washing station is located, as well as the neighboring areas of Cyahinda, Rusenge, Nyagisozhi, and Gishambwe in Huye. With altitudes ranging from 1710m to a high of 2250m, the region boasts ideal conditions for coffee cherry to mature slowly over time, including cool temperatures throughout the year, stable rainfall, and well-draining, water-retentive soil.
