As you drive along the steep road from the southern end of the Sidamo coffee area, you will see coffee carefully cultivated for approximately 35km up to Yirgacheffe Village (altitude 2,500m). Blessed with fertile black soil and surrounded by rivers, forests, and lakes, the symbol of the beautiful Yirgacheffe Village is Lake Abaya, one of the lakes most beloved by the people of Ethiopia. While natural processing is mainstream in Ethiopia, Yirgacheffe is finished using traditional washed processing and sun drying. Among these, the top grade selected is Yirgacheffe.
