El Naranjo Farm

El Naranjo Farm is a small farm located in Dipilto, Nueva Segovia, owned by the Valladares family, who also operate Buenos Aires. This farm was started in 1990 by Luis Emilio Valladares, an agricultural engineer, and is one of the oldest farms among those they own. Situated on the Pan-American Highway, it boasts a pleasant climate surrounded by pine trees. The farm began by planting Maracaturra on approximately 5 hectares, and later established the La Campana Wet Mill on the premises, which processes cherries harvested from El Naranjo as well as coffee produced by neighboring farmers. Benefiting from natural forests and water resources, El Naranjo's coffee has an excellent flavor and has won multiple awards in past Cup of Excellence competitions, attracting many buyers.
In recent years, in addition to Maracaturra, the farm has also been producing various other varieties such as Marseillaise and Caturra as part of climate change research. However, Maracaturra remains El Naranjo Farm's signature variety and continues to be carefully cultivated even after 30 years.
