"Private Collection" Brand

Currently, Esmeralda Estate's Geisha varieties are categorized under two brands: "Esmeralda Special" and "Private Collection." As you know, "Esmeralda Special" is a brand name reserved only for Geisha with exceptional quality, scoring over 90 points, that are entered into private auctions. This "Private Collection" brand is made by blending aromatic microlots produced at altitudes of 1600-1800m in Jaramillo, Quiel, Cañas Verdes, and El Velo, which possess flavor characteristics unique to high altitudes. When selecting for Esmeralda Special, lots that scored between 87-90 points, while not reaching 90 points, were deemed to have consistent Geisha quality and were selected as "Private Collection." Naturally, since these lots are produced using the same processes as those entered into auctions, including the harvesting and selection of fully ripe cherries and the processing stages, this is a highly reliable, high-quality brand.
